You’d Like Some background, Wouldn’t You?

It was September 2025.

Ryan approached Shea with a simple idea: write and produce an animated short film for film festivals. This led to the creation of the “Missing Ghosts” screenplay—and with it sitting at around 30 pages, something clicked.

What if we made more?

Ryan dug up some old screenplays from 2020 and 2021. Shea began developing an idea he wanted to bring to life. Then Matt and David joined in with their own work.

It wasn’t long before all four were putting stories together like puzzle pieces. Each piece was unique in its own right, but together? It became something larger.

Strange Animals.

By January 2026, as the screenplay underwent its final revisions, it was clear this wasn’t just a small project. It needed structure.

On March 8th, 2026, Static Apollo LLC was formed to bring Strange Animals to life.

Since then, the film has grown into a full production, bringing together collaborators from all different backgrounds.

Strange Animals is, at its core, a passion project.

Everyone involved volunteers outside of their normal work, fueled by a belief in the film and the passion to create.

It isn’t a job. It’s a drive to create something that resonates. Something… strange.

Static Apollo LLC isn’t made up of your typical filmmakers. It’s built by people across all walks of life who share one thing: a desire to tell stories. And guess what?

It’s just getting started.
